littlecatkUploading the Firefly fanvid i talked about, I finshed it on the 18.11. but i wanted to write some notes to make at least a bit sense of it for anyone watching but my brain did not want to do that, as always you can ask about scene selection etc.

about the title:
Mal: I don't believe there's a power in the 'Verse can stop Kaylee from being cheerful.
Kylee/River: There is no power in the verse that can stop me now.
Love being something unstopable. Love make people unstoppable forces to protect it.
This video touches a few ideas/things, so here are the main themes and just fav bits:
-the ditchonomy with Kylee being pushed out of harms way to her and the kid, and Rivers dance like fighting style (which has its own ditchonomy)
-i love the fade in, movement of 0.47 "you had me cadged up" way to much, i just like it.
-the connection between death-flying-freedom is an old hat but it is still a nice thing, also the word "Serenity" always has death connections for me.
in the funeral scene, and River fixing a little rocket there.
"she is torn up plently but she will still fly true"
in the opening the burning up serenity fading into a shot of her flying unharmed
while death is freeing, grief can be cadging, the building something as a better coping mechanism - the sparks of Zoe fixing Serenity.
-in my zoe video there is the line "innocence (lost)"with River (in context of the eating room and the ditchonomy between family live/meals and guns)
(see also 1.15 "bathing in sunlight" River and Kylee chase eachother through the ship, and are actual refered to as kids, by Mal - this is where River gets the phrase "no power in the verse can stop me" from that she later quotes back at Kylee (which off topic is a very relatable way to communicate)
here it comes back as "i was not crazy /i was devine"
-i like Mal & Kylee laying hurt on the ground of Serenity and River opening her eyes, at the turning point from that, but with a visual connection that implies this as the beforehand/past
-i really like the hand holding from Mal to Kylee "i know that you are a liar" callback/built up on the way i used "fucked hard" in my Zoe vid: flying with Mal can be very dangerous, an Mal is here coupled/samed with Serenity. River in the movie being asked if she wants to stay when Mal throws them of by Simone, and saying it is to dangerous (for them)

does this make sense to anyone or just me?

-I had the dream that i was fine/I wasnt crazy" I love River sitting like that, pulling her knees in hugging them. it emphasize the young "broken girl/kid"-thing which is something i have problems with in the way it is used but which is also something i am interested in.
also i really made myself ship this two, is there anywhere were i can find fanwork with them? (i looked up their ages because of this, and found out Rivers actress is 2 years older)
-i like the shot/framing in 3.06 on Simone standing over them looking down/to him and river looking down at the crew ->to the simelar camera position over Kylee and Simone: think of the Tear you apart fanvideo.
the visual parallel of River looking up and Simone looking up (leaning on the ship contols!) River "feeling"/being the ship.
the first thing i ever saw of firefly was a screencap set with the "my sister is a ship we had a difficult childhood" that never actually happens buit stayed in my head
if i watch simone/kylees interaction with Simone&River in the back of the head i am gonna think of Kylee/River with Simone&River too.
(or today i am kind of in love with the way Kylee says goodbye to Simone and River and how both siblings watch after her)
River as the ship makes her a part of all the scenes (she is not really a "mind reader" but she has acess to the general feelings of anyone on the ship) vs the way she (and Simone) are outsiders of many crew scenes first, she even more, seen through Simones lense of pity, confusion, etc (and love too of cause).
(the way this, brings me back to bad coping mechanism, the idea of "fixing" people, instead of finding ways of learning to live with eachother)

-the idea of soulmates are weird trope for me, on the one hand i love stories about stories, about possibilities and chances and how my otp falls in love in tentousand different ways,
now we come back to the cows,
but on the other hand this always has to be seperated from the: only love can make you happy/complete, and that love has to be only one person, if you lose them thats the end, and anyone but that one doesnt matter, etc
people touch people, change them too but thats always born from themself,
River: They weren't cows inside. They were waiting to be, but they forgot.
-I should probably cut a few secs at the end, and i have the feeling that i hold scenes for to long here, i am not a quick cutter and maybe this is the "worst" of my vids on that so far, I still like it through.

And yes to the "quieter victories" thats definitly what i was going for (what i am going for in like all my fandoms)
