Dear Festividder and anyone who might like to make a treat!
First of all thank you! Second I hope yu have fun vidding! I know everyone says it but it is true, if you make a vid you love to make I will love watching it, all this fandoms deserve more fanvids and I am really looking forward
to see something for any of them.

I get headaches and mild nausea from strobbing, blinking, flashing and flickering lights, spinning and extrem zooming.

General Dislikes:
I'm not super fond of text on screen, or dialoge over music.
More a lyric then a instrumental music but if you have the perfect instrumental song feel free to do that.

General Likes:
I like character studies, I like relationship studies (doesnt have to be romantic), I like ensemble vids, I like vids focusing on the worldbuilding/setting.
I like vids that focus on side/minor characters or less focused relationships. I love it when a vid makes a source look queerer then it was in canon.
I love meta vids, I love celebrations of the source but I also like deconstruction and critic in video form, vids that look at a source from a different angle, vids that have a very different tone then the source.
I am a very sappy, you can go out as big on pathos and "feels" as you like to.
Outside source is totally fine by me.
I like female characters, gender feels, parallels and juxtapositions, polyamory, queerness, a strong sense of setting (place, time period), found families, underdogs, misfits banding together, solidarity/community building,

I prefere hopeful things, angst is okay, but i would perfere not completly dark things.

Music:
Starting with what I am not so much a fan of because it is easier: anything that could be described as "ambience", this includes "lofi", "shoegaze", "coffeshop covers" and "lounge" music. Anything techno (dubstep, house, goa, synthwave even just more techno adjent pop and hip hop music).
Most of the music I listen to is from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, I almost completly stopped being aware of current pop/chart music around 2010,
I like to find new (to me) music with fanvids, but don't be afraid of using a song everyone has used if it is really what speaks to your heart.
I prefere music that "moves", a good beat, a strong rythme.

Some sale pitch/rambling for the specific fandoms.

Green Lantern: Legacy (DC Comics 2020),
"When Tais grandmother dies, he inherince her green lantern ring. Meanwhile rich guy Xander Griffin has plans to buy up the neighborhood Tai lives in."
I love the kids and their friendship, they are just cute! I love the theme of community!

Spyro the Dragon (Video Game Series)
I missed the mod post about it - but I specificly meant the Original 3 games (and the Reignited Trilogy) not the Skylander or Cynder Games.
Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer was the first game we owned for the PS1 (well beside Tetris) - I have fond memories of playing all 3, and I still love the colourful world(s) and Spyros attitude.
I love video game vids that use game play but its not a Must.

Peau d'âne | Donkey Skin (1970) [SAFETY]
France: "A fairy godmother helps a princess disguise herself so she won’t have to marry her father."
Regardless if any of it is my aesthetic the sheer balls of costume and set design is to be respected, its incredible kitschy and i love it.
Warnings/Caveats: treath of incest, light ableism, fairytale typical self harm - someone cut their finger (cause the prince is looking for the woman whos finger fits into this ring), classism

Soul Kitchen (2009) [SAFETY]
Germany: "German-Geek chef Zinos struggles to keep his restaurant afloot and things get more troublesome when his brother appears."
This movie incredible charming to me; i am not sure how well this charm carrys over to other people with a different background but for me this movie feels like home, it Sounds like home, I love the soundtrack and the energy of the people.
Warnings/Caveats: non con drug use and slightly doubious consent to drug use, reference to sex work, one ableist slur,

Slnko V Sieti | The Sun in a Net (1963) [SAFETY]
Czechoslovakia: "Oldrich “Fajolo” Fajták changes his grumpy outlook in life (slightly) when he goes to a formally "volunteer" summer work camp at a farm."
I don't think I ever seen a movie that looked more like summer to me. But even more no movie ever Sounded more like summer - i love the audio design of this movie, its my favorite thing - i have no idea how one would use that for a vid - but i do like how this movie looks too, very new wave: the use of mirror and pov shots, the modern fast cutting, for flashbacks and interviewing the different fragments.
It is a bit of an anti romance, for me with two young people failing to really connect, in the end I like to think they both learned something (though not from eachother) so I am not really looking for a classic "shippy" vid here.
Warnings/Caveats: set in the soviet union

Tout en haut du monde | Long Way North (2015) [SAFETY]
France: “1892, Saint Petersburg. Sasha grandfather an explorer is lost on his last expedition to the north pole. So she decides to find him.”
I love the animation, it has a flat style, with nice shot compositions, and great colours.
Its a pretty simple/straight forward adventure story but at least I don't see many in this format which adds something to it, I also just like this kind of adventure stories.
I love Sashas coming of age arc. I LOVE her relationship with the people she met.

After life (1998) [SAFETY]
Japan: "After death, people have just one week to choose only a memory to keep for eternity."
Warnings/Caveats: mention of suicide, sex work, abuse, war,
I LOVE stories about stories and art - if you want to lean into the meta of making fanworks please do! but I also love the simple sentimentality of love and joy being found in little moments.

Cesta do praveku | Journey to the Beginning of Time (1955) [SAFETY]
Czechoslovakia: "Four schoolboys go on an expedition though time."
I just think this was very charming, its approche to it just feels sincer, sincer wonder and love for science.
For its time its approche to the prehistoric humans (and with that for humans with different life styles) is suprisingly gentle/understanding - I liked that.

Kuessipan (2019) [SAFETY]
"Two childhood friends from the same Quebec Innu community begin to realize that they face very different futures."
I would love a vid for the main friendship but a more general vid would also be nice, i think this movie has a great sense of place and that would make a nice vid theme.
Warnings/Caveats: racism, capitalism, abuse,

Elvira Mistress of the Dark (1988) [SAFETY]
"Horror show host Elvira wants to open a show in Las Vegas but for that she needs money, when her great aunt dies she goes to collect her inheriance but the virture police of the small town takes issue with her."
I admit I included this because i looked over my long list of potential nomination and was like, maybe I should add something more people have actually seen pior - but that doesn't mean I don't love this. I do love this movie.
Its unashamed silly but also warm story about a town coming together and learning to live with different lifestyles, and I love Elviras Aesthetic.
Warnings/Caveats: sexual harrassment, one light homophobic remark, fundamental christianity, reference to sex work, non con drug use
