Why I Rec This Fic: Anzu is so much more then fandom (and canon) liked to see, and there is just something in this fic that made me emotional, something about how careing for small things is not less important, how she is a young female character and should be allowed her own dreams and pleasures outside of world saving and protagonists.

(parallels and character/relationship growth between the Kaiba and Wheeler siblings? i would love that)

Why I Rec This Fic: This made me cry, its about the selfishness of love, guilt and grief, and it allows them both to be angry and inperfect but with the promise that they will be okay.
Mokuba shifts; tugs on his sleeves; looks away again. "During the tournament - when you dueled Diva - he came back, didn't he?"
And the he is unmistakable now, the same one Yugi's heard a thousand times, always with the slight stumble in the conjugation: he, you, him. "...He did."
Mokuba is quiet as though he's putting something into the world he can't take back. "If he had the choice," he says finally, "do you think that he would have stayed, if you asked?"
And - this is where they are, at last. The unspoken linchpin that's always existed between the two of them; the unvoiced assumption that's tethered all of their interactions. Everything and everything else about Mokuba aside: Yugi can think of nobody else in his life who understands quite as well what it is to exist as a fainter mirror, as a linked half.
Asking questions without asking questions. "Mokuba - " It's been two months. He remembers. "Mokuba. Your brother's going to come back."
"He doesn't have to," says Mokuba, unconvincingly.

Warnings: mastrubation, no actual sex but discussion/mention of it - it is basically a coming of age story, "underage"? its a bit squirmy for me to read so in understand anyone wanting to give this a pass
Why I Rec This Fic: This is a unusal subject to me or at least an unusal way of handling it, and I never would have through i would read a good fic about Rebeca but suprise!
But it is a good suprise, characters (female characters! queer characters!) growing into themself is a theme obivious dear to my heart( and of cause the supportive friend group and the way despite the romantic entanglements in the group (sucessful and failing ones) it is clear that - kindness, affection, trust and respect - outweight "traditional (hetro-monogam-normative)" romantic/sexual expections - and are what is important to them.

Why I Rec This Fic: "And then you round an unfamiliar corner, and that's the point where you ruin Halloween."-Is sadly such a unbelievable relatable thing for me, but there is also this really wonderful friendship in the group being brain-bad together and supportive. Super funny and emotional.
